Service Description
Need for Couples Counseling: Therapy helps couples navigate relationship challenges. Couples often struggle with stress both at work and at home, difficulties in their relationships, marital issues, anxiety, anger, parenting challenges, time management, burnout, job loss, the death of a loved one, domestic violence, divorce, natural disasters, suicidal thoughts, loss, grief, and trauma. Each person needs to take the initiative in caring for themselves to stay well and function effectively. Therapy provides helpful tools and insights to manage these mental health issues. Approaches to Counseling: Face-to-Face and Online Using a CBT approach, we aim to build a therapeutic relationship with couples, creating a safe and confidential space for them to address their issues. Relationship challenges couples may face include communication issues, trust issues, differing expectations, cultural differences, faith-related challenges, insecurity, and self-esteem issues, often stemming from backgrounds of abuse. Therapy helps couples by conceptualizing their situation through exploring automatic thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and physiological issues. We implement strategies to set goals, evaluate progress, and collaboratively create action plans to enhance communication, rebuild trust, and foster deeper emotional connections and intimacy.
